Manual Therapy Techniques such as Spinal Manipulation (sometimes referred to as an adjustment), Dry Needling (thin needles with electric stimulation), Myofascial Decompression (cupping), and Soft Tissue Mobilization (massage, trigger point therapy) to decrease pain and allow a window of time for your body to move better and speed up recovery
Progressive Upperback, Neck, and Shoulder Girdle Strength + Increasing Fitness so you can leave more resilient than before you got hurt.
Routines and Tools to dial in workouts and recovery to stay healthy for the longterm.
Don’t let your upper back pain keep you out of the gym, off of the court/course, or feeling frustrated during friends/family time.
Issues between the shoulder blades are common. People smash that area with a lacrosse ball, foam roller, and all kinds of gadgets. In many of those cases, the root cause may be the neck. Different segments in the neck refer to the scapular region, so even though soft tissue work helps in the moment, it doesn’t take care of it long term. The muscles in that area cross over the neck, ribs, and shoulder girdle, so any weakness, unaddressed tension, or injury can be coming from a multitude of tissues. Since everything works together, often times the mobility of the spine and shoulders + strength of the upper body can significantly contributes to how our body can “spread the load” during our activities.
